In this lesson, the story that we were covering was The Street Sweeping Show. To keep this in relation to the last time we taught, our warmup focused on vocabulary from the last story we read. 

For the warmup portion of the lesson, we chose to play pictionary with the students, however we didn’t have a predetermined list of words to use, however, that did not stop the activity from being successful and the students having lots of fun while using the vocabulary as well as having a visual aspect and a working together to remember vocabulary.

As this was just an introduction to the story, the lesson started with a read through by both of us with the students asking questions about vocabulary that was encountered as we read through the story. 

This has been a good way so far to introduce the story to the students as many of them don’t do the reading before class, which is something to be taken into account of.
