In this lesson, there was a focus on analysis and providing the tools for the students. As I have already mentioned, we used breakout rooms this time around. In the rooms, I did take on a leadership role, which wasn’t the main goal of our activity. Next to learn is to be able to step out of the discussion and allow the students to build off of each other instead.

The activities that were used in the class were ones that I had just been introduced to and wanted to try. They went off well and did get the students talking and thinking about the story and aspects of the plot. There were many activities that we could have used to help the students analyze the story. Choosing the activities that I thought the students would enjoy was part of my thought process, as well as what skills I wanted the students to take away.
