This class was structured in much the same way as the last time I had observed, however, they were going over review for writing an essay. He broke down writing the introductory paragraph into pieces for the students to understand what they need in that first paragraph.

They spent half an hour of the class working independently with the teacher available to be private messaged for any questions that they might have. It was nice seeing them have the time to work independently and then come back as a group and continue with the lesson.

This class was much more centered around the students and getting them to analyze a story to address various elements of it. The class was able to troubleshoot any problems that may have arose if they hadn’t of had the option to work on it together as a class.

He had various resources for the students to look at on moodle and did use them in the class to help illustrate what he was getting them do with their essays.

From seeing the thesis that the students shared with the class, you could see how the connections that their forming and the ideas that they are drawing out from the texts provided.
